NTL GIRLS TRACK & FIELD: CANTON THIRD AT SEASON-OPENING QUAD MEET (March 26, 2026)

ATHENS — Alexis McRoberts was a double winner in the throwing events and Stella Rockwell added a long jump victory as the Canton girls took third at the season-opening NTL track & field quadrangular meet at Alumni Stadium here Wednesday.

Wellsboro won the meet with 119 points, followed by Athens with 90, Canton with 42 and Sayre with seven.

McRoberts flung the discus 115-4 and heaved the shot put 35-0 ¼ to collect her two wins.

Rockwell leapt 15-5 ½ to claim the long jump. She was also fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 30-5.

Dana Wesneski was the runner-up in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 54.16 seconds. She added a sixth in the long jump with a leap of 13-6.

The 4x100 relay placed second, clocking 55.65 seconds.

Placing third for the Warriors was Daveian Crowley in the 100 and 200 with times of 13.17 and 28.39 seconds, respectively.

Also posting third-place efforts was Amelia Pepper in the discus at 70-11 and the javelin with a throw of 73-6.

Haley Larsen took third in the high jump, clearing 4-4.
