NTL SOFTBALL: TOWANDA USES FAST START TO DOWN NP-LIBERTY (April 1, 2026)

MANSFIELD — Towanda used early offense to down NP-Liberty, 4-2, during NTL softball action.

Towanda jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first, then added two more runs in the second for a 3-0 advantage.

NPL cut it to 3-2 in the sixth, but Towanda got an insurance run in the seventh for the 2-run win.

Payton Perry (1-for-4) had 2-RBI with Brooklyn Evans (1-for-3) also driving gin a run.

Maris Cobb, Leila Cobb, Kaylen Sluyter, and Taylor Aquilio all scored.

Leila Cobb got the win, striking out 10 with one walk, three hits, and two earned runs.

In the first Maris Cobb drew a walk then scored on an Evans hit.

Towanda did their damage in the second as Leila Cobb and Sluyter drew walks. Perry then took an 0-1 pitch for a hit two score two runs with two outs.

In the seventh Aquilio drew a walk, then scored on a steal of home.
