Northern Tier Sports ReportA busy week as it looks like Mother Nature will finally cooperate after an early week cold spell should giveaway to June-like temperatures by the weekend.
BASEBALL
Monday, April 6Towanda (0-3) at NP-Mansfield (1-2), 4:30 p.m.: The Knights have a few close losses so far this season, including a pair of 1-run defeats, while the Tigers are coming off a high scoring loss to Troy.
Sullivan County (0-4) at Canton (3-2), 4:30 p.m.: It’s been an up-and-down season so far for Canton, as they face a Sullivan team that’s coming off a loss to NEB.
Tuesday, April 7Towanda (0-3) at Canton (2-2), 4:30 p.m.: Cross-over play begins as the Knights head west on 414 as the two young teams come to grips.
Troy (3-1) at Williamson (1-3), 4:30 p.m.: The Trojans are coming off their first loss in a pitcher’s duel to South Williamsport. The Warriors recently got shutout by Canton.
Wednesday, April 8Troy (3-1) at Wellsboro (1-1), 4:30 p.m.: It’s been over a week since the Hornets have played as they opened the season with a 23-5 win over NP-Mansfield.
Thursday, April 9Towanda (0-3) at NEB (4-2), 4:30 p.m.: The young Panthers look to keep their strong start to the season going as they recently came off an 11-1 win over Sullivan County.
NP-Mansfield (1-2) at Canton (3-2), 4:30 p.m.: The third game in four days for Canton as they face a Tiger squad that’s been up and down this season.
Wyalusing (1-4) at CV (5-0), 4:30 p.m.: The Indians haven’t played a close game yet, with three of their wins coming by mercy rule, as the Rams take the long trip out to Westfield.
Saturday, April 11Troy (3-1) at Canton (3-2), 11 a.m.: The rivalry renews as Troy’s road trip continues while the Warriors play their fourth game in six days.
Williamson (1-2) at Wyalusing (1-4), 11 a.m.: The Rams welcome the Warriors to end the week as the two teams look for a much needed win.
NEB (4-2) at Athens (3-1), 11 a.m.: The Panthers hit the road to take on the defending NTL Large School champions.
SOFTBALL
Tuesday, April 7Towanda (3-1) at Canton (1-2), 4:30 p.m.: The Knights take their three game win streak on the road as they face a young Canton squad that played in some wild games this year.
Wyalusing (3-2) at NEB (3-3), 4:30 p.m.: Both teams have been up-and-down this season as the Rams are coming off a win over Blue Ridge, while NEB recently beat Sullivan County.
Troy (1-2) at Williamson (4-0), 4:30 p.m.: The Warriors have not played a close game yet during their hot start to the season while the Trojans look to rebound from a pair of close losses.
Wednesday, April 8Troy (1-2) at Wellsboro (1-3), 4:30 p.m.: The Hornets are coming off a tough loss as Troy to keeps their road trip going.

Friday, April 10Montgomery (2-1) at Wyalusing (3-2), 4:30 p.m.: The Rams active non-league schedule continues as they take on the Raiders, who are coming off a 5-3 loss to Bucktail.
Saturday, April 11Troy (1-2) at Canton (1-2), 11 a.m.: Two young teams face each other as the Warriors play their third home game of the week with Troy on their third road game.
Williamson (4-0) at Wyalusing (3-2), 11 a.m.: The Rams take on a hot starting Williamson team that went undefeated in their round of NTL Small School games.
NEB (3-3) at Athens (3-0), 11 a.m.: The Panthers face the NTL Large School defending champions who have started the season strong.

Tuesday, April 7Canton, Towanda, Williamson at Wyalusing, 4 p.m.: A busy quad meet as some of the top athletes in the league face-off.
NEB, Troy, at Williamson, 4 p.m.: The Trojans and Panthers head west for tri-meet action.
Friday, April 10Canton, NEB at Northwest Invitational: The Rangers welcome several top teams from District IV and District II for this evening invite.
Saturday, April 11Wyalusing, Towanda at Selinsgrove Invitational: One of the biggest invites of the season that features team from across central Pennsylvania.
BOYS TENNIS
Tuesday, April 7CV (0-1) at Towanda (0-3), 4 p.m.: The Knights look for their first win after three close losses to start the season.
Thursday, April 9Towanda (0-2) at Galeton (2-2), 4 p.m.: The Tigers pulled out a 3-2 win in their first match.
