AOW: CANTON'S MCROBERTS, TROY'S MOREY, TOWANDA'S COBB ALL BOAST STRONG WEEKS (April 5, 2026)

Spring sports has started to rev up with plenty of big performances, both in track and field, and on the diamond.

On the girls’ side Canton’s Alexis McRoberts and Towanda’s Leila Cobb both had strong weeks. McRoberts set school records in the discus and the shot put, while winning the Kirby Classic in the latter event, while Cobb struck out 17 in a win over Wellsboro. Both are the Female Co-Athletes of the Week.

For the boys Troy’s Cameron Morey won both the triple jump and long jump at the Kirby Classic, while reaching the podium in the high jump, to be the Male Athlete of the Week.
