NTL SOFTBALL: WYALUSING'S BATS COME ALIVE IN WIN OVER NEB (April 7, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportROME — Wyalusing broke out the bats as they topped NEB, 14-0 in 5-innings during NTL softball action Tuesday.
They jumped out with five runs in the first, then tacked on two more in the second. They scored five more in the third, then rounded things out with two more in the fifth.
Emily Johns (3-for-3) was perfect from the plate as she added a run scored, and an RBI, with Treanna Nickeson (2-for-3) and Kirra Millard both driving in two runs, with a run scored.
Josie Ferris (2-for-3) had 3-RBI with a run scored, as Riley O’Connor (2-for-4) scored twice, and drove in a run.
Addison Fluck (2-for-3) drove in two runs, as Kyla Carpenter (2-for-3) scored, and had an RBI.
Addisyn Bly (1-for-1) rocked a double with three runs scored, while Ellie Adams (1-for-1), Raelea Harvey, Callie Warner, and Elli Adams all crossed home.
Maddison Adams (1-for-1) chipped in with an RBI, as Tayliegh Jackson (1-for-1) had an RBI, as well.
Fluck struck out seven in the 1-hitter while allowing no walks.
Zoey Thetga (1-for-2) had the NEB hit, as Kristina Larnard took the loss, striking out two with two walks, 17 hits, and 14 runs.
Bly led off the game with a walk, then scored on a Nickeson double. Millard then singled in Nickeson, with her courtesy runner Harvey scoring on an error.
Johns would keep the rally going with a 1-out single, then later scored on Fluck’s double. Her courtesy runner Adams would score on Ferris’ hit for the 5-0 lead.
In the second Bly led off with a double, then scored on Nickeson’s fielder’s choice.
O’Connor would reach on a 2-out hit, then scored on the Johns single.
In the third Carpenter would lead off with a hit followed by Fluck reaching on an error.
Ferris then singled in Carpenter, with Adams also scoring on the hit.
Warner would reach on an error, followed by Ferris scoring on a passed ball.
Bly would draw a walk, followed by Nickeson hitting a single to load the bases.
Two batters later a O’Connor brought in Warner on a fielder’s choice, while Bly would score on a hit from Johns.
In the fifth Millard and O’Connor had back to back singles, with Millard scoring on an Adams hit, while O’Connor scored off a Jackson hit.
