SULLIVAN BASEBALL FALLS TO CMVT (April 11, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportLAPORTE — Sullivan County baseball fell to CMVT, 18-5 in five innings, during Mid-Penn action Saturday.
The Rams led 2-1 after one, then scored four more in the top of the second, and six in the third for a 12-1 lead.
The Griffins got one back in the bottom half of the third. CMVT would score four more in the fourth, and two more in the fifth, with Sullivan getting their final three runs in the bottom half of the inning.
Garrett Burke (2-for-3) had a double with two runs scored, as Marshall Strain (1-for-3) had a double with 2-RBI and a run scored.
Cole Ledger (1-for-2) drove in two runs with Tucker Blasi scoring, and getting an RBI. Brett Smith also crossed home.
Ryan Murray went the first 1 1/3-innings with one strikeout, two walks, two hits, and six unearned runs.
Ledger went the next 1 1/3-innings with three walks, two hits, and six runs, three of which were earned.
Blasi pitched the final 2 1/3-innings with five strikeouts, three walks, two hits, and six runs, one of which was earned.
In the first Blasi drew a 1-out walk then scored on a fielder’s choice off the bat of Strain.
In the third Smith drew a 1-out walk then scored on a dropped third strike against Blasi for their second run.
Burke would lead off the fifth with a hit followed by Blasi reaching two batters later on a hit by pitch. Strain would double in Burke, followed by Murray drawing a walk.
Blasi and Strain would both score off a Ledger single.
