NTL BASEBALL: WYALUSING RALLIES PAST WILLIAMSON (April 11, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportWYALUSING — Wyalusing rallied for five runs in the sixth to nab the 9-7 win over Williamson during NTL baseball action Saturday.
The Warriors led 3-1 after one with the Rams tying it up with two runs in the third. Wyalusing took a 1-run lead in the fifth, but Williamson came back with four runs in the sixth to take the lead.
The 5-runs in the bottom half of the inning propelled Wyalusing to the win.
Michael Phillips (2-for-3) had 2-RBI with a run scored for the Rams as Marshall Huston (2-for-4) had 3-RBI with a run scored.
Owen Brown (1-for-3) also drove in two runs as Griffin Sheldon (2-for-4) scored four times while driving in a run.
Jared VandeMark (2-for-3), Campbell Carr, and Mahdden Hugo all crossed home.
VandeMark went the first five innings for a no decision, striking out 10 with four walks, five hits, and three runs, two fo which were earned.
Dawson Biza tossed one-third of an inning with one strikeout, no hits, three walks, and four runs.
Carr got the win, going the final 1 2/3-innings with two strikeouts, and one walk.
In the bottom of the first Sheldon led off with a hit, then scored on a Phillips hit to get the Rams on the scoreboard.
After getting out of a bases loaded jam in the second the Rams struck again in the third as VandeMark led off with a hit. Landry Tinna was hit by a pitch to put two runners on.
VandeMark would later score on a passed ball, followed by Sheldon - who reached on a fielder’s choice - getting across home on a Huston single for a 3-3 ball game.
Sheldon led off the fifth with a hit and later scored off a Huston line drive that he tagged up on for the 4-3 lead.
In the sixth Wyalusing loaded the bases with no outs after back to back walks to Carr and Hugo followed by a VandeMark hit.
After an out Carr scored on a Sheldon fielder’s choice, giving the Warriors two outs.
Phillips kept the rally going with a hit that brought in Hugo, then Huston scored Sheldon.
The final two runs came on a Brown single that allowed Phillips and Huston to come home.
