SULLIVAN COUNTY BASEBALL FALLS TO BENTON (April 14, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportLAPORTE — Sullivan County baseball fell 24-1 to Benton during Mid-Penn action Tuesday.
The Griffins scored their run in the second, while the Tigers opened up the game with 12 runs in the first. They added three in the third, and nine more in the fourth.
Tucker Blasi (1-for-1) and Zane Miller (1-for-2) both had doubles, with Ryan Murray scoring their run.
Murray started, and went one-third of an inning with no strikeouts, five walks, five hits, and 12 runs.
Blasi tossed the next 2 2/3-innings with six strikeouts, three walks, six hits, and three earned runs, as Miller went one-third of an inning with no strikeouts, five walks, two hits, and seven runs.
Brett Smith tossed the final two-thirds with two strikeouts, three walks, two hits, and two runs.
In the second Murray was hit by a pitch, then moved to third on Miller’s double. He later scored on an error.
