NTL BASEBALL: WYALUSING FALLS TO NP-MANSFIELD (April 14, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportMANSFIELD — Wyalusing baseball dropped a 14-4 contest in five innings to NP-Mansfield during NTL action Tuesday.
After a scoreless first inning NPM put up six runs in the second to take the lead. The Rams rallied back with four runs in the third, but the Tigers answered back with five runs in the fourth, then finished the game off with three in the fifth.
Gage Tinna (1-for-3) had a double with 2-RBI as Marshall Huston (1-for-2) scored, and drove in a run.
Griffin Sheldon (1-for-3) had a double with a run scored, while Owen Brown and Michael Phillips also crossed home.
Campbell Carr started, and went two innings for the loss. He allowed one walk, four hits, and six runs, five of which were earned.
Dawson Biza tossed the next 2 1/3-innings with three strikeouts, two walks, three hits, and seven runs, six of which were earned.
Hutson pitched in the fifth, allowing one hit, and one unearned run.
Sheldon hit a 1-out double to get things started in the second inning, followed by Phillips reaching on an error.
Huston singled in Sheldon, then Phillips would score on a passed ball to cut it to 6-2.
Tinna then doubled in Huston and Brown to cut the deficit to two runs.
Wyalusing (2-6) is at Towanda on Thursday with a 4:30 p.m. start.
