NTL BASEBALL: TOWANDA, TROY PLAY TO 13-13 TIE AFTER EIGHT INNINGS - GAME WILL BE FINISHED LATER (April 15, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportEAST TROY — It was a wild one at East Troy as Towanda and Troy were tied at 13 after eight innings when it was suspended due to darkness during NTL baseball action Wednesday.
It was 1-1 after one, with Troy going up 3-1 after two. Towanda would take a 5-3 lead with four runs in the top of the third, but the Trojans came back with seven of their own in the bottom half for a 10-5 advantage.
The Knights got two more back in the fourth, then tied it up with three runs in the sixth for a 10-10 ball game.
Both teams scored two runs in the seventh, and each had a run in the eighth.
For Towanda Lucas Vincent (4-for-5) had 4-RBI with two runs scored, as Shane Maghamez (2-for-5) had 3-RBI with a run scored.
Boom Thompson (2-for-4) scored three times and drove in a run, as Hudson Stevens (2-for-3) scored three times and had an RBI.
Gage Evans (1-for-4) had 3-RBI with Brad Assante (1-for-4) scoring a run. Harper Welles scored twice, as Hagen Jones crossed home once.
Vincent started, and went 2 1/3-innings with three strikeouts, three walks, four hits, and seven runs, four of which were earned.
Thompson went the next 5 1/3-innings with one strikeout, five walks, six hits, and six runs, one of which was earned.
Maghamez came on for one-third of an inning before it got stopped.
For Troy Logunn Heasley (2-for-5) had a double with 2-RBI as Pryor Teribury (3-for-3) scored twice, and drove in two runs.
Reed Palmer (2-for-5) scored, with Mason Smith scoring two runs while driving in three.
Hunter Watson (1-for-5) scored twice with 1-RBI as Lucas Loxley (1-for-3) scored three times and ha dan RBI.
Trey Teribury scored twice with Brendan Gilliland (1-for-3) also crossing home.
Gilliland started, and went three innings with three strikeouts, three walks, three hits, and seven runs, as Watson tossed four innings with three strikeouts, two walks, eight hits, and six runs.
Zack Blasz tossed an inning with one strikeout, and one hit.
In the first Thompson reached on an error, then scored with two outs on an error off the bat of Maghamez.
Smith opened up the bottom of the inning with a walk, then scored on a Palmer hit for a 1-1 ball game.
In the second Watson would reach on a dropped third strike, then Loxley got on off an error.
A Pryor Teribury hit scored Watson, then Loxley scored on a Smith ground out for a 3-1 ball game.
In the top of the third Stevens led off with a hit, followed by Thompson reaching on a walk, then Welles got on off a sacrifice.
A bases loaded single from Vincent scored both Stevens and Thompson for a 3-3 contest.
Maghamez then drove in Welles to make it 4-3. Evans would bring Vincent in with a ground out to give the Knights a 2-run lead.
In the bottom half Gilliland led off with a walk, followed by Palmer hitting a single. After an out Watson drove in Gilliland with a hit, then Trey Teribury drew a walk to load the bases.
A Loxley walk scored Palmer to tie the game up, then Pryor Teribury’s single brought in Watson.
Trey Teribury would score on a passed ball, followed by a Smith ground ball driving in Loxley and Pryor Teribury for a 9-5 Trojan advantage.
Heasley then doubled deep into left field to score Smith to double up the Knights.
In the top of the fourth Towanda loaded the bases thanks to a walk to Jones, a hit by pitch against Stevens, and a Thompson walk.
After an out Vincent singled in Jones, then Stevens scored on a Maghamez fly out for a 10-7 game.
In the sixth Towanda would rally with two outs as Thompson and Vincent singled to put two on.
Maghamez then hit in Thompson to make it 10-8.
A walk to Assante get the inning going, with Evans singling in Vincent and Maghamez to tie up the game.
Towanda would take the lead in the seventh as Stevens drew a walk, then scored on a Thompson single. A 2-out Vincent hit would drive in Thompson for the 12-10 lead going into the bottom of the final inning.
Troy came up big with two outs as Loxley reached on an error, then Pryor Teribury drew a walk.
Loxley would score on a passed ball, then after a Smith walk Heasley drove in Pryor Teribury to force extra baseball.
Assante led off the eighth with a hit followed by Evans getting hit by a pitch. After two outs Stevens had the clutch hit, driving in Assante for the 13-12 lead.
The Trojans answered, and again with two outs, as Trey Teribury reached on an error. Loxley would walk to keep the inning alive, with Trey Teribury eventually scoring on a passed ball for a 13-13 ball game.
Towanda (3-3) will turn around and host Wyalusing Thursday while Troy (4-3) travels to the Shamokin Tournament on Saturday.
