NTL SOFTBALL: CANTON SOFTBALL DROPS GAME TO CV(May 16, 2026) Northern Tier Sports Report CANTON — Canton softball dropped a 17-1 NTL contest in five innings against CV on Thursday.
The Warriors scored their run in the bottom of the fifth as CV opened the game with five runs in the first. They added four more in the third, one in the fourth, and tacked on seven in the fifth.
Tiffany Acla (1-for-3) had an RBI as Emilee Walker (1-for-1) scored their run. Tara Gilbert (1-for-2) and Jaylee Ward (1-for-2) also had hits.
Raya Preston struck out five in the circle with five walks, nine hits, and 17 runs, four of which were earned.
Walker reached on a hit in the bottom of the fifth, then scored on a 2-out hit from Acla to keep from getting shutout.
