NTL SOFTBALL: WYALUSING FALLS TO NORTHWEST (April 17, 2026)

WYALUSING — In a battle of the top two ranked teams in District IV, Class AA Wyalusing fell to Northwest, 13-7, in softball action Friday.

The Rangers jumped out with three runs in the first, then tacked on six more in the top of the third. Wyalusing came back with two in the bottom half for a 9-2 ball game.

Northwest would score two more in the fourth, then three in the fifth to get to 13. Wyalusing scored three in the bottom of the fifth, then finished the game with two in the seventh.

Treanna Nickeson (1-for-2) had a double, two runs scored, and an RBI for the Rams as Josie Ferris (1-for-3) had 3-RBI with a run scored.

Addisyn Bly (1-for-3) scored three times as Callie Warner (1-for-3) also crossed home. Kirra Millard drove in a run as Riley O’Connor (1-for-3) had a hit.

Warner got the start, and went six innings with 13 runs, nine hits, four walks, and four strikeouts. Laynee Burgess tossed the final inning.

In the third Warner led off with a hit, followed by Bly reaching on an error. They both scored on a Ferris single for Wyalusing’s first two runs.

In the fifth Bly led off with a hit, then scored on a Nickeson double. Millard drove Nickeson home with a ground out, while Ferris, who reached on a walk, scored off a wild pitch.

In the seventh Bly was hit by a pitch, followed by Nickeson reaching on an error. Ferris drove Bly in, with Nickeson scoring on a wild pitch.

Wyalusing (7-5) hosts Troy on Tuesday with a 4:30 p.m. start.
