NTL TRACK & FIELD: WOODRUFF, COOK LEAD TOWANDA GIRLS TO FIFTH PLACE FINISH AT NORTH POCONO INVITE (April 17, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportMOSCOW — Led by two first places finishes from Brynn Woodruff and Eliana Cook, the Towanda girls had a top five finish at North Pocono’s Twilight Invitational Friday.
The Knights finished fifth with 37 points as Crestwood (89) won.
Woodruff won the javelin (127-feet, 3-inches) and Eliana Cook claimed gold in the shot put (32-feet, 7 1/2-inches).
The Lady Knight 4x800 relay was third in 10:15.11, as Marin Maynard was also third in the pole vault (9-feet, 6-inches).
Maris Cobb took fourth in the 3200 (11:45.50), Mary-Kate Eberlin took fifth in the 800 (2:26.52), and Mya Maynard was eighth in the discus (90-feet, 9-inches).
On the boys’ side Jazik Brown reached the podium in three events, taking fourth in the 400 (50.55), fifth in the 100 (11.47), and sixth in the 200 (23.49).
Tanner Vanderpool was seventh in the pole vault at 9-feet, 6-inches) with Kole Heyer and Markell Garner both earning eight places finishes. Heyer in the high jump (5-feet, 8-inches) and Garner in the shot put (45-feet, 3 3/4-inches).
