AOW: TOWANDA'S EVANS, NEB'S HUGO POST BIG WEEKS ON THE DIAMOND (April 19, 2026)

The area got a taste of summer-like weather and the performances matched with several athletes showing out as we near the midway point of the spring sports season.

For the girls Towanda went 2-0 with big wins over Troy and Wyalusing as Brooklyn Evans went 3-for-6 on the week with three doubles, four runs scored, and an RBI to be the Female Athlete of the Week.

On the boys’ side Cooper Hugo had a big week to help NEB go 2-1. At the plate he went 5-for-11 with 8-RBI with a run scored while on the mound he pitched 5 2/3-innings with no runs, one walk, two hits, and eight strikeouts to be the Male Athlete of the Week.
