SULLIVAN COUNTY ROLLS PAST MUNCY (April 21, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportLAPORTE — Sullivan jumped out early as they rolled past Muncy, 18-8 in five innings, during Mid-Penn softball action.
The Griffins led 9-0 after one, then tacked on six more runs in the bottom of the second for a 15-0 lead.
Muncy came back with two runs in each of the third and fourth innings, but Sullivan got three of those back in the bottom of the fourth.
Muncy would score four more in the fifth for the 10-run difference.
Miley Dickinson (2-for-4) had a double, 3-RBI, and two runs scored as Trinity Rohe (2-for-2) scored and drove in a run.
Mariah Hallabuk (1-for-1) had a triple, four runs scored, and 3-RBI with Piperr Vangalder (1-for-1) also scoring.
Charley Insinger, Bailey Smith, and Gabby Evans both scored twice as Emilia Viveiros, Bailey Bogart, Hannah Kelly, and Paighton Durland all crossed home.
Kelly, Evans, and Insinger each drove in a run.
Viveiros tossed the first inning, striking out one with one hit, while Dickinson pitched the final four innings with three strikeouts, two walks, seven hits, and eight runs, seven of them earned.
Hallabuk and Insinger got things started with back to back walks followed by Dickinson driving them in with a double.
Smith and Viveiros would then draw walks to load the bases. After an out Evans drew a walk to score Dickinson, then Kelly was hit by a pitch to bring in Smith for a 4-0 lead.
After a second out Hallabuk would clear the bases with a triple to make it 7-0. She later scored on a passed ball.
Insinger got the rally going again with a walk, then later scored on a passed ball for the 9-0 lead after one.
The Griffins opened the second inning with four straight walks, with Smith scoring on a wild pitch, to load the bases.
After an out Rohe and Bogart would both score on wild pitches as Durland and Hallabuk drew two more walks.
Evans would steal home, Durland then scored on a passed ball, and finally Dickinson singled in Hallabuk for a 15-0 lead.
Hallabuk opened the fourth with a walk, then scored on an Insinger ground out.
Dickinson got the rally going again by reaching on an error, followed by VanGalder singling to put two on.
A Rohe hit would drive in Dickinson, followed by VanGalder scoring on a passed ball.
