NTL BASEBALL: CANTON FALLS TO SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT (April 24, 2026)

CANTON — Canton baseball dropped a 17-0 contest in five innings against South Williamsport during non-league action Friday.

South scored seven in the second to get going, then added two more in the fourth. They added eight in the fifth for the 17-0 final.

Bailey Gardner (1-for-3) had a double with Reed Taylor (1-for-2), Daniel Inman (1-for-2), and Lucas Crawley (1-for-2) all getting hits. 

Inman started, and went 1 1/3-innings with two strikeouts, one walk, four hits, and six runs. Ryland Wesneski tossed the next two innings with no strikeouts or walks, four hits, and three runs.

Grant Jennings pitched the next two-thirds with no strikeouts or walks, three hits, and three runs, as Teyton Thompson tossed one-third of an inning with no strikeouts, three walks, one hit, and four runs.

Aaden Dowling pitched the final two-thirds with one strikeout, no walks, two hits, and one run scored.

Canton (4-9) travels to Wellsboro on Thursday.
