AOW: WYALUSING'S JOHNS, TROY'S GILLILAND, TOWANDA'S WOODRUFF POST HISTORY MAKING WEEKS (April 26, 2026)

Another week of big time performances as teams head into the second half of the spring sports season.

The Lasagna Invitational didn’t disappoint this past week with Towanda’s Brynn Woodruff winning the javelin with a throw of 136-feet, 11-inches, which is the furthest throw in Class AA this year. Woodruff is the Female Athlete of the Week.

For the boys Wyalusing’s Dylan Johns won two golds at Lasagna, taking the high jump and the long jump titles, while Troy’s Brendan Gilliland broke the school record in hits as he led the Trojans to a 3-1 week. The two of them are the Male Co-Athletes of the Week.
