SULLIVAN COUNTY FALLS TO NORTHWEST (April 27, 2026)

Northern Tier Sports Report
SHIKSHINNY — Sullivan County fell 12-2 to Northwest in five innings during Mid-Penn baseball action Monday.

The Rangers led 4-2 after one, then tacked on two more runs in the second.

They scored three in the third, one in the fourth, then finished with two in the fifth to secure the mercy rule win.

Madden Fries (2-for-2) scored a run as Carter Blasi (1-for-3) had a hit. Tucker Blasi scored the other run.

Cole Barto started, and went one inning with no strikeouts, four walks, four hits, and six runs, three of which were earned.

Ryan Murray tossed the final 3 1/3-innings with two strikeouts, two walks, nine hits, and six earned runs.

Fries led off the game with a walk, followed by Carter Blasi getting a hit.

Tucker Blasi would draw a walk to load the bases, setting up Murray’s walk that brought in Fries.

Carter Blasi would be caught at home on a fielder’s choice off the bat of BrettSmith.

However, Garrett Burke would bring in Tucker Blasi with a fielder’s choice off his bat.

Sullivan County (2-10) will host Millville on Friday.
