NTL TRACK & FIELD: CANTON BOYS, GIRLS TAKE THIRD IN TRI-MEET ACTION (April 28, 2026)

WELLSBORO — Both the Canton boys and girls track and field teams took third during tri-meet action Tuesday.

On the girls side Canton (26) fell to Wellsboro (94.5) and Athens (68.5), while for the boys the Warriors had 20 points to Athens 91.66, and Wellsboro’s 76.33.

For the Lady Warriors Alexis McRoberts won the shot put in 36-feet, 5 1/2-inches with teammate Emilia Pepper (26-feet, 10-inches) in third.

McRoberts (117-feet) and teammate Kendall Petrowski (84-feet, 11 1/4-inches) went 1-2 in the discus.

Pepper won the javelin in 90-feet, 6-inches with Hayley Larsen taking second in the high jump at 4-feet, 6-inches.

For the boys Lawrence Halbfoerster was second in the 400 (56.70) and the 800 (2:12.60).

John Whitehead was second in the 110 hurdles in 17.85.

Wyatt Hilton was second in the shot put (42-feet, 5 1/2-inches) and the discus (124-feet, 5 1/2-inches).
