NTL BOYS BASKETBALL: TOWANDA'S FARRELL TO CONTINUE HIS CAREER AT LCCC (April 28, 2026)
BY CHRIS MANNINGNorthern Tier Sports ReportTOWANDA — Towanda’s Darrius Farrell wasn’t sure he was going to college, but he knew if he did he was going to be playing basketball wherever he went.
On Tuesday Farrell signed with Luzerne County Community College (LCCC) to play men’s basketball at the next level.
“I didn’t think I was going to go to college until this past year,” explained Farrell. “But I was like, ‘I’ve got to keep on hooping.’ I’m very excited.”
He was choosing between LCCC, Keystone College, Corning Community College, and Harrisburg Community College.
“I really wanted to make the right decision,” Farrell said. “I really talked to them a lot, and that coach seemed to want me the most. When I went up there and watched them play their best was good, and I liked that.”
Now he’ll focus on improving so he can make an impact at the next level.
“Me and (Landon) Henry are working on getting the ball out quicker because the 3-point line there is a little deeper,” said Farrell. “I’ve got to get the ball out faster.”
He plans on studying digital media in college.
