SULLIVAN COUNTY ROLLS PAST SUGAR VALLEY (April 30, 2026)

LAPORTE — Sullivan County softball got a 10-0 win over Sugar Valley in five innings on Thursday.

After a scoreless first the Griffins pushed three across in the second. They added one in the third, then notched a 6-run fifth to secure the win.

Bailey Smith (1-for-3) had 2-RBI with a run scored while Emilia Viveiros (1-for-2) drove in a run. Mariah Hallabuk (1-for-3) scored, as Trinity Rohe and Bailey Bogart both crossed home twice.

Gabby Evans, and Paighton Durland both scored as Hannah Kelly, and Charley Insinger each had an RBI.

Viveiros and Bogart had back to back walks in the second for the Griffins. After an out Smith drove them in with a hit for a 2-0 lead. Smith later scored on a passed ball for a 3-0 advantage.

In the third Rohe reached on a 1-out error, then scored on a passed ball for a 4-0 ball game.

Durland led off the fifth by reaching on an error, followed by Hallabuk hitting a single. An Insinger ground out drove in Durland for a 5-0 score.

Hallabuk would later score on a passed ball, followed by Rohe drawing a walk.

After a second out Viveriso singled in Rohe, followed by her courtesy runner, Piperr VanGalder, scoring on a passed ball.

Bogart would get hit by a pitch, followed by Evans drawing a walk. Bogart would score on an error off the bat of Smith for a 9-0 lead.

Evans later scored on a dropped third strike to make it a 10-0 final.

Sullivan County hosts Millville on Saturday with an 11 a.m. start.
