TROY GIRLS TAKE SECOND AT NTL JH CHAMPIONSHIPS (May 5, 2026)

WELLSBORO — The Troy girls junior high track and field team took second at the NTL Junior High Championships Tuesday.

The Lady Trojans scored 110 points with Athens (134) winning. On the boys’ side Troy (42) was fifth.

Troy’s Harper Lee won the 200 (29.02), the 400 (1:06.96), and the 100 hurdles (18.20). Lee just missed the gold sweep, taking silver in the long jump at 15-feet, 2 1/4-inches.

Christine Ward was second in the 800 (2:43.75) with teammate Zoey Mann (2:48.81) in fifth. Ward was also second in the 1600 in 5:48.66.

Annika White took third in the high jump (4-feet, 6-inches), and also nabbed bronze in the triple jump at 29-feet.

Kenzey Mann (14.49) was tied for sixth in the 100, and took fourth in the 400 in 1:10.19.

The 4x400 won in 4:46.81, as the 4x100 was sixth in 1:00.08.

Troy had two medalists in the discus with Nora Harris (61-feet, 1 1/2-inches) taking third and Violet Kneller (60-feet, 1/2-inch) fifth.

Harris was fourth in the shot put at 27-feet, 1-inch.

For the boys Bentley Brown won the 100 hurdles in 17.50.

Asa Kibbe was fourth in the 400 (1:02.69) with teammate Elijah Wilcox (1:03.42) sixth. Caleb Wilcox was fifth in the 800 (2:37.54).

In the 1600 Kyle Kibbe (5:38.54) and Caleb Wilcox (5:41.40) were fourth and fifth.

The 4x100 was fifth in 56.17, and the 4x400 was fourth in 4:38.40.
