NTL BASEBALL: NEB FALLS AT WELLSBORO (May 7, 2026)

WELLSBORO — NEB fell 15-1 in five innings to Wellsboro during NTL baseball action Thursday.

The Hornets jumped out with a 4-0 first inning lead, then scored four more in the third for an 8-0 advantage.

The Panthers got on the scoreboard with a run in the top of the fourth, but the Hornets came back with a 7-spot in the bottom half of the inning.

Cooper Hugo (1-for-3) had a double and scored a run as Nate Gross had an RBI. Brad Shores (1-for-1) also had a hit.

Cooper Hugo started, going an inning with one strikeout, one walk, four hits, and four earned runs.

Anthony Johnson tossed the next inning with one strikeout, no walks, two hits, and four runs, one of which was earned.

Elijah DeLancey went the final two innings with three strikeouts, tow walks, seven hits, and seven earned runs.

Cooper Hugo led off the fourth with a double, then was brought home by Gross two batters later for their run.

NEB (9-9) is slated to host their tournament with a 10 a.m. start on Saturday.
