NTL TRACK & FIELD: HALBFOERSTER PACES CANTON BOYS AT NTL TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS(May 9, 2026) Northern Tier Sports Report ATHENS — Canton’s Lawrence Halbfoerster won the 3200 at the NTL Track and Field Championships Friday.
Lawrence won the event in 10:02.94, while also taking third in the 1600 in 4:28.19.
John Whitehead was second in the 300 hurdles (43.80) and took seventh in the 110 hurdles (18.60), as Wyatt Hilton was fourth in the discus (126-feet, 3-inches) and sixth in the shot put (41-feet, 1 1/2-inches).
Manuel Halbfoerster took seventh in the 1600 (4:46.72) and eighth in the 800 (2:10.39).
The 4x100 (52.15) and the 4x400 (3:44.74) both took sixth.
