NTL BASEBALL: WYALUSING FALLS AT WELLSBORO (May 9, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports ReportWELLSBORO — A 13-run second inning saw Wyalusing fall to Wellsboro, 17-2 in three innings, during NTL baseball action Friday.
The Hornets opened up with a 4-run first inning, but the Rams came back with two runs in the top of the second.
That’s when Wellsboro put up 13 runs to get the win.
Michael Phillips (1-for-1) had a double with a run scored as Wiley Trobaugh (1-for-1) drove in two runs.
Dalton Gonsauls (1-for-1) also had a hit as Campbell Carr scored a run.
Dawson Biza started, and went an inning with one strikeout, five walks, four hits, and 10 runs, nine of them earned.
Jared VandeMark went the final inning with no strikeouts, three walks, five hits, and seven runs, five of them earned.
Carr led off the second with a walk, followed by Phillips hitting a double. Trobaugh brought them both in with a hit to make it 4-2.
Wyalusing (3-16) wraps up their season on Monday when they travel to Tunkhannock with a 4:30 p.m. start.
