NTL SOFTBALL: TROY FALLS TO ATHENS IN PITCHER'S DUEL(May 12, 2026) Northern Tier Sports Report ATHENS — Troy softball got no hit by Athens’ Gretchen Hiley as they fell 1-0 in a pitcher’s duel during NTL action Tuesday.
Troy’s Erinn Knapp allowed just four hits and no walks while striking out 11 in the loss, as Hiley fanned 17 with two walks.
Aleiyah Kurt was hit by a pitch, as Lauren Reed and Maddyson Muir both drew walks for the three Trojans base runners.
Athens got their run in the third as Hiley hit a 1-out single, then took second and third on passed balls, before scoring off an error.
Troy (8-11) still has a game against South Williamsport to end the season.
