NTL TRACK & FIELD: NEB'S BENNETT EARNS MEDAL AT D4 TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS (May 15, 2026)

MILTON - NEB’s Sophie Bennett earned a District IV Track and Field Championships medal on Thursday as she took eighth place in the 3200.

Bennett ran a personal best 11:49.98 to finish to nab the final podium spot.

“It feels amazing,” Bennett said about the medal. “I feel really accomplished. I got a big PR, so I’m really happy with how I did.”

Bennett ran most of her laps around 1:30 but her fastest lap was her last, running the final 400 in 1:21.80.

Teammate Jackson Martin (10:01.62) took 10th in the boys’ 3200 while the 4x800 relay of Levi Dewing, Xavier Lockwood, Daniel Barrett, and Martin was 13th in 9:07.78.
