YOUTH: CANTON RALLIES PAST TOWANDA DURING DISTRICT 15 MAJORS SOFTBALL ACTION (June 12, 2026)

WYSOX — Canton used a big late game rally to overcome Towanda, 12-10, during District 15 Majors Softball action Friday.
It was Towanda early as they pushed three across in the first inning to go up 3-0, then out scored Canton 2-1 in the third for a 5-1 lead.
Canton cut it to 5-3 with two runs in the third, then followed that up with a big 5-run fourth inning for an 8-5 lead.
Towanda cut it to 8-7 with two runs in the bottom half only to watch Canton score four more in the top of the fifth to take a 12-7 advantage.
Towanda would rally, scoring one in the bottom half, then pushed two more across in the bottom of the sixth to make it a 2-run game.
Canton got the final strikeout to secure the win.
Parker Hoover led Canton with a 4-for-4 effort with two runs scored, and 2-RBI as Jasmine Hilfiger (2-for-4) had 2-RBI and a run scored.
Lydia Jennings (1-for-3) had 2-RBI and also crossed home.
Evalyn Duff scored three times with Karleigh Andersen scoring twice. Angel Young, Elle Davy, and Braelynn Hartford all crossed home as Kennedy Wilcox drove in a run.
Jennings started, and went one inning with two strikeouts. Wilcox came on for the final five innings to get the win, striking out 12.
Nora Cashdollar (2-for-4) scored twice to lead Towanda as Sloane Stevens (1-for-1) had a double with a run scored.
Brielle Pratt walked four times and crossed home each time as Lily Strope (1-for-4), Harper Reider, and Madelyn Cox all scored.
Zoey Jones, Reider, and Scarlett Scanna each had an RBI.
Sloane struck out 11 in the loss.
Canton (1-1) will wait to see who they play in bracket play next week while Towanda (0-1) travels to Athens (1-0) on Sunday to finish out pool play.
