WYSOX — Towanda Minors Softball pulled away from Wellsboro for an 12-1 win in four innings during District 15 pool play action Thursday.

After a scoreless first inning Towanda pushed five across in the second. They added another three in the third for an 8-0 lead.

Wellsboro got on the scoreboard with a run in the top of the fourth, but Towanda finished it with four in the bottom half.

Eme Maye (1-for-3) had a home run with 3-RBI and two runs scored for Towanda as Violet White (2-for-2) had a double with a run scored, and an RBI.

Brylie Blumenauer (1-for-3) scored and drove in a run as Jonica Owen (1-for-1) and Charlotte Wickwire both scored twice.

Charlee Wheeler, Kendra Cashdollar, Adley _Miller, and Olivia Willey all crossed home.

Maye struck out 11 in the circle.

Towanda will travel to Canton on Saturday with a 3 p.m. start.
