NEB GETS TIE, WIN IN JH SOFTBALL DOUBLE-HEADER (2021-04-25)

Northern Tier Sports Report
WYALUSING — Wyalusing and Northeast Bradford played to an 11-11 tie in junior high softball action over the weekend.

Both teams scored a run in the first inning, with the Panthers netting six in the second to go up 7-1. The Rams would get two back in the third, then four more in the fourth to tie the game up.


They would both score four runs in the fifth to finish 11-11.


Kelsea Moore had two hits, and two runs for NEB, as Hannah Berger finished with two hits, and a run. Leah Beebe and Gracelyn Laudermilch had two hits and two runs each.


Toni Herb, MacKenna Callear, and Abby O’Connor each had a hit, and run scored.


Moore struck out 12 for NEB.


NEB then beat Canton 10-1 in their second game.


NEB jumped out with three runs in the first inning, then three more in the third. They finished with four runs in the fourth.


Canton scored their run in the second.


Moore had two hits, with three runs scored, as Berger had two hits with two runs. Herb and Callear each had a hit with two runs scored, as Beebe, O’Connor, and Lillie Poust had one hit apiece. Laudermilch also had a hit.


Callear struck out seven in the win.
