TOWANDA'S TRIO OF THROWERS COMPETES AT NEW BALANCE NATIONALS (June 22, 2026)

PHILADELPHIA — Three Towanda throwers completed at the New Balance Nationals in Philadelphia this past weekend.
Senior Brynn Woodruff took 14th in the overall competition with a throw of 125-feet, 5-inches.
In the freshman girls javelin throw Eliana Cook was seventh with a personal best of 106-feet, 3-inches, just missing the podium by one spot.
Cook also competed in the girls freshman shot put competition, taking 29th with a throw of 30-feet, 3 1/2-inches.
Fellow freshman Joey Montonya took 18th in the boys freshman competition with a throw of 140-feet, 10-inches.
Cook is tied for third in Pennsylvania for freshmen rankings in shot put, and second for Class AA. She's now ranked 10th for freshman in the state for javelin.
