MANSFIELD — Troy edged Southern Tioga under the lights, 4-3, during District 15 Majors Baseball pool play action Monday.

The Teams traded runs in the second with Southern Tioga scoring another run in the third for a 2-1 lead.

Troy evened things up with a run in the fourth, then tacked on two more in the fifth for a 4-2 lead.

Southern Tioga got one back in the top half of the sixth, but Troy's defense held.

Connor Packard (2-for-2) scored a run as Brennan Scott (1-for-2) had a double with a run scored, and an RBI.

Ecko Kolb (1-for-2) had a double with a run scored, as Wesley Wray (1-for-2) also scored. Isaac Watson (1-for-3) had an RBI.

River Barth went the first two innings with three strikeouts, with Ethan Kendall going three innings with four strikeouts.

Jase Sheeley tossed the final inning with three strikeouts.

Troy will host Elkland on Wednesday.
