LADY LIGHTNING BLUE GO 2-3 AT TOURNAMENT (June 22, 2026)

Northern Tier Sports Report
The Lady Lightning Blue softball team went 2-3 at their tournament over the weekend.

They opened with losses to Victor Vipers (4-3) and Rochester Rattlers (13-10), but picked ups win over Cayuga Lady Bombers (7-6).

On Sunday they defeated Canandaigua (15-0), then fell to NY Diamond Girls (6-5).

Against the Victor Vipers Karmyn McPherson (3-for-3) and Zoey Thetga (3-for-3) were perfect from the plate. Thetga added two doubles with a run scored, and an RBI.

Raya Preston (2-for-3) had two doubles with a run scored, as Lucy Proseus (1-for-3) had a double with 2-RBI.

Mollie Callear (1-for-3) added a double.

Maci Campbell struck out six in the circle with one walk, nine hits, and four earned runs.

In the loss to the Rattlers every batter recorded a hit.

Alexis McMurray (2-for-2) scored a run, and had an RBI, as Mollie Callear (2-for-3) scored a run.

Thetga (1-for-2) had a double with a run scored, and can RBI with Proseus (1-for-1) scored twice and drove in a run.

Ayla Wheeler (1-for-3) had 2-RBI with a run scored as Delaney Kendall (1-for-2) had 2-RBI With a run scored.

Campbell (1-for-2) and McPherson (1-for-3) both scored, and drove in a run.

Preston started, and went an inning with two strikeouts, two walks, six hits, and nine runs, seven of them earned.

Wheeler went one-third of an inning with no strikeouts, three walks, one hit ,and three earned runs.

Campbell went two-thirds with one strikeout, and one hit.

Callear tossed an inning with one strikeout, one walk, two hits, and one earned run.

In the win over the Bombers Callear (2-for-3) had 2-RBI with a run scored, with McPherson (2-for-3) scoring a run.

McMurray (1-for-2) and 2-RBI with a run scored, while Thetga (1-for-3) and Campbell (1-for-3) both scoring and driving in a run.

Wheeler, and Preston (1-for-2) both scored as Proseus (1-for-2) had a hit.

Callear struck out three in the win with two walks, nine hits, and six runs, four of which were earned.

In the win over the Waves Callear (2-for-2) had a home run with 2-RBI and three runs scored, as McPherson (2-for-3) had 4-RBI with two runs scored.

Wheeler (2-for-2) had a triple with three runs scored, as Preston (2-for-2) and Thetga (2-for-2) both scored twice and drove in a run. Thetga also had a double.

Campbell (1-for-2) had a triple with 2-RBI and a. Run scored while McMurray (1-for-3) scored, and drove in a run. Proseus  scored and had an RBI.

Preston struck out six in the win with one walk, no hits, and no runs.

In the loss over the Diamond Girls Callear (3-for-4) had 2-RBI with Proseus (2-for-4) had two doubles with three runs scored.

Preston (2-for-4) had a double with three runs scored, with Thetga (1-for-4) hitting a double with an RBI.

Campbell (1-for-3) also had an RBI as Wheeler (1-for-3) had a hit.

Campbell went 2 2/3-innings with one strikeout, no walks, seven hits, and six runs, three of which were earned.

Callear tossed the final 3 1/3-innings with no strikeouts, two walks, three hits, and no runs.
