YOUTH: RTL USES EARLY RUNS TO BEAT NEBALL IN MINORS SOFTBALL (June 24, 2026)

Northern Tier Sports Report
WINDHAM — RTL used a fast start to down NEBall, 14-6, during District 33 Minors Softball action Tuesday.

RTL led 2-1 after one, and 6-2 going into the third, when they scored five runs in the top half to take an 11-2 lead.

NEBall battled back, scoring a run in the bottom half, then adding two more in the fourth to cut it to 11-5.

RTL would out score NEBall 2-1 in the fifth, then pushed across one more in the sixth for the 14-6 final.

Hattie Sheldon (3-for-3) had two triples and a double with 2-RBI, and four runs scored to lead RTL as Cambria Chesla (3-for-4) had a double with three runs scored, and an RBI.

Alexa Cobb (2-for-4) drove in three runs with Madelyn White (2-for-3) scoring twice.

Evie Howard (1-for-3) scored twice and drove in a run as Everly Bolles (1-for-4) scored, and had an RBI.

Bexlie Whipple (1-for-4) and Joanna Champluvier both crossed home.

Everly Bolles started, and went four innings with seven strikeouts, while Cobb went the final two with six strikeouts.

Raegan Tompkins (2-for-3), Reese Vantassel, Martha Engle, Addie Peterson, Eva Conrad, and Keith Burke all scored for NEBall. Vantassel added an RBI.

Engle went the first three innings with seven strikeouts, as Tompkins pitched the next 2 2/3-innings with five strikeouts.

Emilie Lewis pitched the final third, striking out one.

NEBall travels to RTL for bracket play action on Wednesday with a 5:30 p.m. start.
