YOUTH: RTL USES BIG FIRST INNING TO DOWN NEBAL IN MINORS SOFTBALL (June 24, 2026)

WYALUSING — RTL used a big first inning to down NEBall, 17-5 in four innings, during District 33 bracket action in Minors softball.
It was 15-3 after one in favor of RTL, who scored another run in the second. The teams notched one run each in the third, with NEBall getting their final run in the fourth.
Everly Bolles (2-for-3) drove in four runs while scoring once herself for RTL as Cambria Chesla (2-for-2) scored twice, and drove in two runs.
Evie Howard (2-for-3), and Hattie Sheldon (2-for-3) both scored twice as Sheldon also had an RBI.
Arabella Doty (1-for-2) scored three times and had 2-RBI with Joanna Champluvier (1-for-2) driving in two runs while scoring once herself.
Madelyn White and Elexa Cobb both scored twice as Brexlie Whipple scored, and drove in a run. Reese Welles also crossed home.
Cobb struck out 10 to get the win.
Martha Engle (1-for-2) scored and drove in a run for NEBall as Brooklyn, Reese Vantassel, Reagan Tompkins, and Emilie Lewis all scored.
Tompkins started, with Lewis coming on in relief. She went one-third of an inning with one strikeout.
Engle tossed the final 2 2/3-innings with seven strikeouts.
RTL will travel to top seed Tunkhannock on Friday.
