TUNKHANNOCK — RTL lost to Tunkhannock, 8-5, during District 33 Minors Softball championship bracket play on Friday.

RTL led 3-0 after one, but saw Tunkhannock cut it to 4-2 going into the third. Tunkhannock continued to chip away, out scoring RTL 2-1, then put up four runs in the fourth to take the lead.

Elexa Cobb (1-for-2) scored twice for RTL as Hattie Sheldon (1-for-1), Evie Howard, and Everly Bolles all crossed home. 

Arabella Doty (1-for-2) and Brexlie Whipple (1-for-3) also had hits.

Cobb went the first four innings, striking out seven, while Howard pitched an inning, with two strikeouts.

RTL will travel to NEBall on Sunday with a 4 p.m. start in elimination bracket action.
