WYSOX — Towanda Minors Softball stayed undefeated with a 5-0 win over Athens during District 15 bracket play Friday.

Towanda jumped out with two runs in the first, then added one more in the second. They notched two more runs in the fourth for the 5-0 win.

Gracie Vanderpool struck out 14 to get the shutout for Towanda while going 1-for-2 with an RBI at the plate.

Violet White (2-for-2) was perfect from the plate while driving in a run as Eme Maye (1-for-2) had a double with two runs scored.

Jonica Owen (1-for-2) had a double with a run scored, and an RBI as Charlee Wheeler and Kendra Cashdollar (1-for-2) both scored. Adley Miller (1-for-2) had a hit.

Towanda will see wait to see who comes out of the elimination bracket as Athens faces off with Canton. The next game for Towanda will be on June 30 at Southern Tioga.
