SAYRE — Towanda defeated Sayre, 18-3 in three innings, to end District 15 Minors baseball pool play Saturday.

Towanda led 12-0 after one, then out scored Sayre 4-3 in the second. Towanda added two more runs in the third inning.

Rayden Bailey (3-for-3) scored and drove in a run with Gage Horton (1-for-1) had a double with two runs scored, and 2-RBI.

Eric Towner (1-for-2) scored twice and drove in two runs with Cole Williams (1-for-2) scoring twice with an RBI.

Owen (1-for-1) scored twice and drove in a run as Jackson Scrivener (1-for-2) and Greyson Iriving both scored twice. Irving also had an RBI as Callan Willey crossed home twice.

Maddox Hicks scored, and drove in a run.

Willey went two innings with four strikeouts, as Scrivener went an inning with one strikeout.

Towanda will host Allegheny Mountain in the first round of bracket play on Tuesday
