CANTON — Canton powered up their bats as they hit their way past Southern Tioga, 20-12, during District 15 Majors Baseball elimination bracket play Thursday.
Canton had 22 hits in the game with every player recording one, including eight extra base hits.
Barrett Pepper (3-for-5) had a home run, two doubles, 5-RBI, and three runs scored with Hunter burr (3-for-4) rocking two doubles to go with 3-RBI, and two runs scored.
Tanner Gowin (3-for-4) finished with two runs and an RBI as Christian Moore (3-for-4) doubled with 2-RBI, and three runs scored.
Sawyer Schultz (4-for-4) doubled, scored three times, and drove in a run with Grayson Pepper (2-for-4) earning 2-RBI with a run scored.
Jake VanHorn (1-for-4) doubled with 2-RBI and a run scored, while Lincoln Holcomb (1-for-3) and Avery Moore (1-for-2) both scored and drove in a run.
Weston Driscoll (1-for-4) scored three times.
Avery Moore went the first two innings with two strikeouts, followed by Schultz, who went two innings with three strikeouts.
Christian Moore tossed 1 2/3-innings with two strikeouts, as Gowin pitched the final third.
Canton reaches the final four as they travel to Athens on July 6.
