MIDDLETOWN — RTL went 1-1 in Section III Minors Baseball double-header action on Sunday. They beat Selinsgrove 1-0 behind a big pitching effort from Kase Morningstar, but then fell to Keystone, 8-2, in the winner's bracket final.

RTL returns to Middletown on Monday with a 5:30 p.m. start as they take on Selinsgrove again in the elimination round final.

RTL used a walk-off walk to edge the hosts 1-0 during the opening round.

Dax Cogswell drew a 1-out bases loaded walk on four straight pitches to bring in Logan Otis for the win in the bottom of the sixth.

Morningstar struck out 14 in the no hitter, allowing just one walk as he faced 20 batters on the afternoon.

Otis (1-for-3), Eli Howard (1-for-3), Bryson Warner (1-for-3), and Cogswell (1-for-2) had the four RTL hits.

In the loss to Keystone RTL found themselves down 2-0 after one. They cut it to 2-1 in the top of the second, but a 3-run bottom half from Keystone gave them some more breathing room.

A run in the fifth allowed RTL to make it a 3-run game, but Keystone pulled away with a 3-run bottom half.

Cogswell (2-for-3) led the team at the plate as Otis, and Everett Fischer scored the two runs. Warner (1-for-2) and Huck Lambert (1-for-1) each had an RBI. 

Howard (1-for-2), Morningstar (1-for-3), and Thomas Insinger (1-for-3) each had a hit.

Warner started, and went 3 2/3-innings with three strikeouts, followed by Otis going an inning. Cogswell tossed the final third.
