TOWANDA — Towanda claimed their Summer League Volleyball title recently.

The Knights defeated Sayre, 2-1, in the championship match. Sayre won the first set 25-20 with Towanda taking the next two 25-16, and 15-10.

In the semifinals Towanda defeated Troy 2-0, and Sayre beat Waverly 2-0. In the quarterfinals Towanda beat NEB (2-0), Troy beat Wyalusing (2-0), Waverly won over Canton (2-0), and Sayre edged Athens (2-1).

Going into bracket play Towanda won Pool A followed by Wyalusing, Waverly, and Sayre. Athens won Pool B, followed by Canton, Troy, and NEB.
