NTL TRACK & FIELD: TROY SWEEPS NP-MANSFIELD (2021-04-27)

TROY — The Troy track and field teams picked up two wins over NP-Mansfield during NTL action on Tuesday. The girls won 103-43, while the boys were victorious 98-51.


The Lady Trojans dominated in the sprints (23-4), hurdles (16-1), relays (15-0), and jumps (20-13), while edging out the Tigers in the throws (15-12), and the distance events (14-13).


Troy’s 4x800 relay of Sydney Taylor, Natalie Williams, Lilly DePew, and Julia Colton won in 13:05.


The Trojans went 1-2 in the 100 hurdles with Anneliese Getola (18.55), and Elizabeth Geer (20.41), as NPM’s Ella Swingle (21.41) was third.


Troy swept the 100 with Grace Sherman (13.98), Anna Lewis (14.64), and Rachele Ainey (14.65).


Taylor (6:11) won the 1600, with NPM’s Addison Farrer (6:22.86) second, and Grace Farrer (6:32.70) third.


The Trojan 4x100 relay of Getola, Sherman, Lewis, and Caelyn Pine won in 54.83.


Troy’s Bailey Johnson (1:10.04) won the 400, with NPM’s Shaniya Sparrow (1:11.59) second, and Sidney Landis (1:12.22) third.


Geer (55.83), edged out Taylor (55.83) for the 300 hurdles win, with Colton (2:45.93) taking the 800. Ella and Grace Farrer were second and third in 2:53.83, and 2:59.23.


Troy swept the 200 with Getola (29.50), Ainey (30.16), and Olivia Call (31.00).


Addison Farrer (14:04.69) won the 3200, as Taylor (14:30.81), and DePew (15:58.05) were second, and third.


Troy’s 4x400 relay of Colton, Molly Davison, Geer, and Johnson won in 4:46.57.


Morgan Harkness (66-feet, 5-inches) won the discus for Troy, with NPM’s Tierney Patterson (64-feet, 2-inches) second, and Trojan Hope Houseknecht (63-feet, 6-inches) third.


Houseknecht (26-feet, 11-inches) won the shot put, as Patterson (26-feet, 5-inches), was second, and Morgan Harkness (22-feet, 11-inches) took third.


Patterson (87-feet, 7-inches) won the javelin, with Davison (62-feet, 4-inches) second, and NPM’s Ara Furry (59-feet, 6-inches) third.


Sherman (14-feet, 2 1/2-inches) won the long jump as NPM’s Darby Stetted (13-feet, 10 1/2-inches) second, and Call (13-feet, 5 1/2-inches) third.


Stetter (29-feet, 1-inch) won the triple jump with Geer (28-feet, 2-inches) second. Stetted (4-feet, 2-inches) also won the high jump, with Troy’s Paige Manley (3-feet, 8-inches) second.


Call (7-feet), and Johnson (6-feet, 6-inches) went 1-2 in the pole vault.


On the boys’ side Troy was strong in the sprints (19-8), distance (17-10), hurdles (16-1), relays (15-0), and jumps (31-5), though the Tigers dominated the throws (27-0).


Troy’s 4x800 relay of Jacob Hinman, Seth Seymour, Owen Williams, and Brayden Spalding won in 12:47.94.


Troy went 1-2 in the 110 hurdles with Dustin Hagin (16.13) and Austin Smith (20.91), with NPM’s Sam Ruth (29.23) third.


The Trojans also went 1-2 in the 100, with Ridge Spencer (11.75), and Colin Loveland (12.33).


NPM’s Noah Shedden (4:50.64) won the 1600, as Williams (5:16.66) was second, and Hinman (5:42.50) came in third.


Troy’s 4x100 relay of Wyatt Hodlofski, Loveland, Isais Watkins, and Shammar Wolslagle won in 48.03.


NPM’s Caiden Alexander (59.05) edged out Waktins (59.07) for the win in the 400, as NPM’s Jett Harold (1:01.72) was third.


Hagin (44.69) won the 300 hurdles, with teammate Austin Smith (51.62).


Troy swept the 800 with Williams (2:25.87), Hinman (2:29.72), and Spalding (2:30.96).


Spencer (24.11), and Waktins (24.50) went 1-2 in the 200, with NPM’s Daniel Lawrence (26.33) third.


Shedden (10:55) won the 3200, as Williams (12:58), and Brandon Schrader (14:32) took second and third for Troy.


Troy’s 4x400 relay of Hagin, Spencer, Watkins, and Seth Seymour won in 3:50.36.


NPM swept the discus, shot put, and javelin.


Spencer (19-feet, 10 1/2-inches) won the long jump, with Loveland (18-feet, 11-inches) second, as NPM’s Jackson Brion (17-feet, 8-inches) third.


Loveland (39-feet, 4 1/4-inches) won the triple jump, followed by Hodlofski (36-feet, 9 1/2-inches), and NPM’s Zack Wilcox (31-feet, 10-inches).


Hagin (5-feet, 10-inches) won the high jump, followed by Alexander (5-feet, 4-inches), and Troy’s Blake Shedden (5-feet, 2-inches).


Troy swept the pole vault with Seymour (9-feet), Hinman (8-feet), and Spalding (6-feet, 6-inches).
