STATE COLLEGE — The Towanda boys golf team took sixth at the Happy Valley Invitational on Thursday.

The Black Knight foursome shot 321 (plus-33), just one struck from a top five finish. Cathedral Prep (296) and Devon Prep (296) were the top two teams.

Boom Thompson shot 74 to lead the way for Towanda, while Graham Welles (79) and Owen Savercool (79) both scored under 80. Baylee Clark rounded them out with an 89.

Thompson had five birdies on the day as he was 11th overall. He birdies on the par-3 fourth hole, the par-4 seventh hole, the par-4 eighth hole, the par-4 10th hole, and the par-5 18th hole. 

Welles was 25th with 11 pars on the day with Savercool taking 27th, also with 11 pars. Clark took 65th overall and had four pars on the day.

For the girls Towanda took ninth with a score of 301. For LeBoeuf (249) won the team title.

Olivia Heath shot a 91 to lead the Lady Knights with Rosie Glantz carding a 100. Payton Perry and Izzy Repsher each scored 110.

Heath was 18th overall, scoring a birdie on the par-4 15th hole. She also had two pars on the day.

Glantz was 30th with two pars on the day, Repsher and Perry were 37th and 38th, with Perry getting one par.
