VOLLEYBALL: VANDERPOOL TAKES OVER TOP SPOT AT WYALUSING (August 17, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports Report
WYALUSING — Wyalusing volleyball coach Elizabeth Vanderpool has waited for her time to be the head coach of the Rams, and that time is now.
The Rams opened their season on Monday with the first day of practice as Vanderpool was taking it all in.
"I'm very excited about this season," she said. "I'm very humbled to be the head coach here. I have a lot of Ram Pride being an alumni. I've been in this program for nine years, so it's exciting to be at that next level."
Vanderpool has worked her way up, beginning as the junior high head coach, and then on to JV.
"I've had great coaches before me that had trained and worked with me," she said. "It's just a natural process."
