WYSOX — The Towanda girls golf team came up just short to Athens for the second NTL match in a row, falling by eight strokes at Towanda Golf Course.

The Wildcats tallied 288 as the Knights shot 296. Sayre (398) was third, followed by Wyalusing (421).

Olivia Heath had five pars for an 87 to lead Towanda with Rosie Glantz shooting 103 behind one par. Izzy Repsher and Gemma Brown each shot 121.

Riley O'Connor led the Rams with a 131, as Emilee Tinna finished with a 138, and Aliza Brown added a 152.
