WAVERLY, N.Y. — In an occurrence as rare as a lunar eclipse the Towanda and Athens girls golf teams came away tied after their NTL match at Shepard Hills on Wednesday.

The teams both tallied 304, leaving the Wildcats (8-0-1) with a 2-win lead over Towanda (6-2-1) after three matches. Wyalusing (2-7) shot 416 to edge out Sayre (1-8), who finished with a 420.

Olivia Heath led Towanda with a 94 behind five pars, while Rosie Glantz shot a 96, including a birdie on the par-5 10th hole. She also had two pars.

Izzy Repsher and Payton Perry both carded a 114, while Gemma Brown rounded out their top five with a 137.

Mea Johnson led Wyalusing with a 128 as Riley O'Connor shot 130, and Aliza Brown had a 158.
