MILTON — Wyalusing girls soccer drop their season opener to Montgomery, 4-1, during the Meadowbrook Christian Tournament Friday.

The Raiders got a goal less than six minutes into the game and Wyalusing was playing catch up the rest of the way.

Maddy Clark had the Ram goal in the second half as they out shot Montgomery 19-16. 

Sierra Gromley started in goal, and made six saves for the Raiders, while Aubri Davis finished, stoping two shots. 

The teams had three corner kicks each.

Aubrey Staggert punched home the penalty kick to put the Raiders up 1-0, then with 16:04 left in the half Addi Grimm punched home a rebound for the 2-0 lead at the break.

Clark would score on a rebound of her own at the 19:02 mark of the second half.

It remained a 1-goal game until the final six minutes when back to back scores came from Miranda Staggert for the 3-goal difference.

Wyalusing finishes the tournament on Saturday.
