ELKLAND — Troy girls soccer found their groove as they exploded for an 8-1 win over Williamson in their NTL opener Wednesday.

Giana Renzi had a hat trick with an assist to lead the Trojans as Stella Rockwell, Parker Lee, Izzy Prieto, Harper Lee, and Nikki Berry all had goals for Troy.

Rockwell, Raelyn Woodward, Chloey Parks, and Olivia Inman each had assists.

Izzy Renzi had four saves as Troy out shot Williamson 30-4, and had a 5-1 edge in corner kicks.

Giana Renzi got the scoring going just over five minutes into the game, followed by Rockwell scoring at 17:01 mark.

A minute later Giana nabbed her second goal, followed by Berry scoring off a Woodward assist with 8:37 left in the first half.

Prieto scored just before half off a Parks assist for the 5-0 lead at the break.

Giana scored off a Rockwell assist just over six minutes into the second half, followed by Parker Lee scoring off a Giana assist. 

The final goal came with under 10 minutes to go when Harper Lee scored off an Inman helper.

Lainey Hackett had the second half goal for the Warriors.

Troy (1-2) will host Athens on Saturday with a 4 p.m. start.
