WYALUSING — The Towanda girls and boys cross-country teams picked up sweeps over Wellsboro and Wyalusing during NTL dual meet action Tuesday.

The Lady Knights won 20-40 over the Hornets, and 17-38 against the Rams, while Wyalusing topped Wellsboro (22-33).

Wellsboro's Lauren Kosek (20:45) won the race with Towanda taking the next four spots with Maris Cobb (21:04), Izzy Larson (22:25.4), Mary-Kate Eberlin (22:25.6), and Kenzie Brown (23:50).

Leila Cobb (24:58) took eighth to be their final scorer.

Reese Patrick (23:55) led the Rams with a sixth place finish, while Camryn Gesford (24:34) was seventh.

Marci Gowin (25:12) came in ninth, Madelyn Clark (25:41) took 11th, and Ireland Coates (25:46) was 12th to round out their scorers.

On the boys side Towanda defeated Wellsboro (15-49) and Wyalusing (21-36), with the Rams beating the Hornets, 16-47.

Towanda's Emmett Klees (18:13) won the race with Wyalusing's Aidan Neiley (18:53) in second.

The Knights took the rest of the top five with Phillip Spinney (19:00), Brayden Cox (19:04), and Hagen Jones (19:31). Jackson Frederick (20:14) was eighth to round out their scorers.

Caleb King (19:38) and Parker Cunningham (19:54) were sixth and seventh for Wyalusing, as Mitchell Gesford (20:15) came in ninth. Cody Tuttle (21:29) took 16th to round out Wyalusing's scorers.

In girls junior high Wyalusing beat Towanda (22-37) and Wellsboro (18-38) with the Knights falling to Wellsboro (26-31).

Towanda's Talia Dzurinko (12:45.6) won the race.

On the boys' side Wellsboro beat Towanda (20-33) and Wyalusing (23-32) with the Rams edging their rivals, 25-30.

Bryan Dunn (12:45.4) was the top local, taking fourth.
