TOWANDA — A pair of first half goals saw Towanda fall to Athens, 2-0, during NTL boys soccer action Thursday.
The Wildcats scored less than a minute in to take a 1-0 lead, then go another goal with 17:58 left in the first half to pad the cushion.
Athens had a 7-3 edge in shots, with Towanda earning a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Blaiz Nichols finished with six saves for Towanda in goal.
It's Towanda's first loss of the season.
